2017-2018 Meningitis Immunization Requirements
Due to new Meningitis immunization requirements for the 2017-2018 school year, students who will be entering 7th and 12th grade in the fall will be required to provide proof of having received the meningitis shot. Written proof will need to be submitted prior to September 1, 2017, otherwise your child will not be permitted to attend school. Letters went out to parents in December if your child was in need of the meningitis shot. Children usually receive their first dose at 11-12 years of age and would receive a booster at 16 years of age. A booster is not needed if your child is given their first dose at 16 years of age or older. Please contact Kim Brown, RN @ 353-6631 ext 3535 if you have any questions.
